Fix Your Eyebrow Crimes!

By  |

We’ve all seen it. Perhaps some of us have fallen victim to it. But some of us unknowingly commit the Eyebrow Crime (a felony in 5 states). Okay not really, but it should be lol!

What is the Eyebrow Crime? There are several different categories:

Pencil Thin Eyebrows:  Most of the time, it’s not that the person can’t grow thick eyebrows.  They just over-tweeze for some reason.  I, myself, have been victim to this one several times in the past.  I keep tweezing, trying to get my eyebrows even, and before I know it, I look like this:

Sharpie Eyebrows:  Sharpie Eyebrows occur when you shave off your natural eyebrows, and draw them back on with an unnaturally black eyeliner pencil.

Caterpillar Eyebrows: Youch. Just get some pesticide.

Neighborly Eyebrows: When your eyebrows love each other too much (they’re too close together). They’re usually drawn/powdered on this way. I’ve never seen anyone whose eyebrows naturally grow like this unless a unibrow is severed.

This is exactly why I pay someone to do mine. There is a woman at work that I swear it looks like she took a sharpie and drew on her face, I’m always perplexed when I see her.

I LOVE this post. It made me laugh. I’m just recently learning about the importance of good looking eyebrows. I’ve always over plucked. Slowly, I’ve been adding a little more and letting them grow back in. I think I’m finally there. I was working on a similar post to declare to the world that I now know what to do with my eyebrows. Thanks for sharing. Love your blog too by the way. I’m new here. Maybe I’ll stay a while and look around.

LOL thank you so much Tiffany! You just made my day! 🙂 And girl – I over pluck too. Every single time I get my eyebrows done, I’m like, okay – I can keep this up myself. No need to spend time and money letting someone else do it; I’ll just follow their lines and pluck as the hairs grow in. BWAHAHAHAHA that NEVER works!!! So I end up back at square one every 6 weeks or so. I’ll never learn LOL!

Thank you so much for visiting! I hope you enjoy your stay! 🙂

Great tips I notice a lot of women would shave them off and draw on them I am not a fan of that. I try to get mines arched every now and then which is not often but when I do it makes me feel good lol

LOL! I guess getting rid of them and drawing them back is the only way to get them shaped perfectly… but I would never do that! And yes, I totally agree – that feeling after getting your eyebrows done… BAM lol

I have unruly eyebrows so I get them done and try to keep em up. My face feels polished when my brows are done.

Same here! And sometimes even after getting mine threaded, they’re still hard to brush into the perfect shape. Thank God for eyebrow pencils lol!
