I talk a lot about dry skin products because as a retinol user, my skin gets super tight, flaky, and dry without the right products. Age also contributes to dry skin. It took a lot of trial and error (and money) to find what actually works. To prevent YOU from wasting your hard earned money, I’m sharing the 3 holy grail products that SERIOUSLY transform dry skin.

1. Clarins Double Serum

This is a multi-tasking, plant based anti-aging serum, but it seriously delivers unparalleled hydration. It takes a few days of use to start seeing benefits, but it is so worth the wait! It’s 2 serums in 1 to visibly firm and reduce wrinkles, tighten pores, hydrate, smooth, and boost radiance in just 7 days! The anti-aging effects are amazing, but I use this specifically for its moisture and hydration. Clarins says this is “a worldwide best seller, and 1 Double Serum is sold every 5 seconds around the world”. This is not at all unbelievable because it does everything it says it will. It’s very pricey, but I haven’t found anything else that works this well!

Let’s look at the results of the product testing with 362 women (from Clarins):

After 7 days:

  • 83% More radiant skin
  • 74% Visibly firmer skin
  • 91% Visibly smoother skin
  • 87% More radiant skin
  • 81% Visibly firmer skin

After 4 weeks:

  • 91% Visibly smoother skin
  • 87% More radiant skin
  • 81% Visibly firmer skin

I’d say those are pretty impressive numbers and Clarins Double Serum is definitely worth the high price tag. If you can’t justify paying $90, you can sometimes catch it on sale. As of the the date of this article, it’s on sale at Macy’s for $76.50.
Buy at Macys $90 $76.50

2. Tatcha The Dewy Skin Cream

I already posted a review of this cream here, and it’s worth mentioning again! This plumping and hydrating moisturizer contains hyaluronic acid to really pull in that moisture. It’s marketed to people with normal to dry skin, but I personally think this may be too much for normal skin and could cause breakouts. I say that because after just one use, dry skin is not only gone, but skin is plump, completely moisturized, and dewy! So if you like instant gratification, this is the cream for you. Also on the expensive side, this cream is $68 for 1.7 oz, BUT you can get the smaller 0.34 oz for only $20! That way you can try it to make sure you like it before dropping the coints for the larger size.
Buy at Sephora $20 or $68

3. Drunk Elephant Virgin Marula Luxury Facial Oil

Okay wow. Just WOW! I had this oil on my wishlist for months before I finally decided to bite the bullet and shell out for it. So glad I did! This is a pure, unrefined oil with no chemicals, essential oils, silicones, or fragrance. Rich in antioxidants, it defends against free radicals and environmental pollution. Since this oil is pure, it’s safe for even the most sensitive skin! It absorbs super fast with no greasiness. Immediately after using it the first time, I was underwhelmed and thought I had wasted my money. But by the next morning (I used it at night) my skin was softer than ever but most importantly, HYDRATED! That was the first time I experienced the beauty of washing my face and it not feeling tight afterwards. That is a HUGE deal for me! You only need 2-3 drops, so one bottle will last quite a while. Oh yeah – it can also be used on your hands, elbows, and wherever else you need a boost of hydration. So do I think it’s worth the money? Absolutely.
Buy at Sephora $40 for 0.5 oz or $72 for 1 oz.

So there you have it! 3 holy grail products for dry skin. Let me know if you try (or have already tried) any of these!
